"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

FROM "JUST LAUGH"
Boys...Boys...Boys. Okay, I'm coming to terms with the fact that when you have all boys (and you grew up in a family of only girls) there are going to be things you learn (that you NEVER wanted to know) and things you have to grow used to, if that's possible. You know, typical "boy" things, like the fact that Maddox feels the need to turn every nursery rhyme song into a song about poop or weiners, or that Ashtyn and Maddox can be playing with pirate action figures on the floor and suddenly a wrestling match breaks out complete with head locks and grunting...girls would never do that!! Well, today another "boy" thing happened in our home that took me off guard and I had to just look the other way and chuckle to myself and think, with a sigh, "boys will be boys". This afternoon, the boys had chips for a snack. They each had their own bowl and were sitting on the living room floor. As Ashtyn finished his chips, who knows what possessed him to do it, but he sat on his bowl, tooted, announced it by saying "I TOOTED!" (with alot of laughter) and then turned to Brandon extending his bowl out and said "Can I have some more chips?" GROSS!!!!!! He tooted in his bowl and then asked for more chips? Oh my goodness. I heard a quote once that said "Boys do everything that you never even thought of." How true!
