Casey had to come to Oklahoma City today for work and so Rae and Elia drove up with him and met us at the Zoo! The past few times we've been to the Zoo we haven't taken any pictures and so we thought we'd document the day. We spent several hours visiting the animals and even rode the carousel and kiddie train and then headed next door to the Omniplex to cool off indoors and let the kids get out the rest of their energy! When we got in the car to head home, at about 4PM, it didn't take Maddox 2 minutes and he was out cold with his mouth open and everything! I only let the boys sleep during the ride home (about 25 minutes) and then woke them to go inside the house. You know what that means??? Early bedtime! That equals happy mommy!

prelude to camp cousin

Early bedtime is an awesome idea ... until you get a "Karianne". The plan of "no nap" to get her to bed early usually didn't work. In fact, she would fight sleep so hard that she was crankier than normal and usually would stay up later than usual! Life is never boring when kids live in your house!
I think we have a pic kinda like this one when they were MUCH smaller! They are getting so big :( But it was SUCH a fun day! Thanks for playing with us! :) I've been craving more of that yummy lemonade!
