"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

FROM "MOMism"
You know you're a mom when you go to bed each night wishing that the next day you could just sleep in and watch grown-up TV and drink a cup of coffee and then you are finally given the opportunity to do just that by dropping your kids off at Grandma and Grandpa's for a few days and as you are driving away you want to turn around and load your kids back up in the car and take them home because you already miss them before you get to the end of the block.
