"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

first time for everything
This week Ashtyn brought home his very first (times 2) homework assignments!! His first assigment was to read this homemade book, that he made at school, to 5 different people. Those "people" can include even your stuffed animals and pets! After he reads the book, Ash has to do a "book report" where he will draw his favorite part of the story and turn it in to his teacher! So far, Ash has read his book to Maddox and soon he will read it to mommy, daddy, his stuffed puppy and another stuffed animal friend!
Ash also received an assignment this week where he has to choose an insect, learn four facts about that insect, make a poster and then on Friday he has to present his poster and facts to his kindergarten class! Monday night, Ash sat down with daddy and started his project. He chose an "ant" as his insect. He and daddy drew a large ant in the middle of his poster and then listed the ant facts Ashtyn chose. Ash also did some special art work on the poster including an ant carrying things on his back, an ant hill and some scribbles in puff paint!

Awesome Job Ash! The ones I did in Highschool looked much similar! LOL
So cool!!! I can't believe he's so big! Him and Brandon looked adorable working on it!
Ashtyn, Gramma is going to call you a "scholar". That is a word for people who like to learn.
Hey Ashtyn! That aunt doesn't look anything like me. I thought you were doing the report on your Aunts!!
