Ashtyn was ALL smiles this morning when he finally got his turn to attend his zoo class "Monkey Business". Even though, getting to attend his class was bitter sweet, as he was supposed to be camping with his Royal Ranger class this weekend (which was cancelled due to rain) he was still very excited to go to a zoo class all about monkeys!! First, the kids had circle time where they learned about different types of monkeys...
and also sang "Ten Little Monkey's Jumping on the Bed" complete with actions!!
Then it was snack time! Animal crackers of course!
And then they did a craft where they made their very own miniature monkey!
Look! Ashtyn's monkey already knows how to do some tricks!
Last, but certinaly not least, the whole class walked to the monkey exhibit at the zoo to get a real visual of what they had been learning all morning! It was pouring down rain today and so the class got soaked on their way to the monkeys...but the kids didn't care, of course!
