The weather outside might not be quite "frightful" yet but it sure is getting cold! Ash has been wearing his coat to school almost everyday for a couple of weeks and today he even needed his winter hat! Now, I really enjoy doing both my boys' hair everyday. I know, I know it's not important to them and they probably won't let me do it for too much longer...but I don't have girls and so I have to hang onto what little "hair fixing" I have around this house! Today, though, I knew that Ash needed to wear a warm hat to school and so I didn't go to the same lengths on his hair as I normally do. He usually wears his hair sticking up on top ("like Uncle Casey" as the boys call it!) but today I simply wetted and gelled his hair down in a side part hoping that it would still look somewhat normal when he took off his hat at school. When I picked up Ash from school he was, again, wearing his winter hat and then when he got in the car and removed his hat I couldn't help but laugh! Obviously, my gel work didn't hold because Ash's hair was sticking up in the front AND the back! HA! Oh well...I guess it's just that time of year!!

You know Mom. His hair probably looked like that the whole time he was at school...but...he didn't really care, did he? He was having too much fun learning and his friends probably looked just like him...so nobody noticed! And if his teacher is anything like I am ... if the kids are clean, fed, and healthy...I'm happy as can be! Who cares about sticky-up hair!
Erika...I love how Ashtyn seems to be way more consumed with eating his snack and watching tv, i assume, than you taking his picture. Seems like it doesn't even cause him to lose focus of what's important!!!
