Before Ash would go to bed he had to see me "sew" his new patches onto his Ranger Kid vest. Sew isn't exactly the correct term here because I think Ash is the only kid in his class whose patches aren't actually sewn on but instead glued on with "No-Sew" craft glue! HA! I know, I know...I'm spilling all my secrets here, but who wants to haul out the sewing machine and thread it and yadda yadda yadda all for those tiny little patches every few months??? Not this mama! The no-sew glue works great...until I have to wash the vest that is! HA! Oh well. Anyway, after searching online for the exact location each new badge had to be placed, we got both Ashtyn's badges on his vest and he went to bed proud and happy! Can't blame him. We're pretty proud ourselves!

She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

rainbows & rangers
Tonight, both of our boys had BIG nights at church!! They both earned new badges in their classes!! Maddox earned his Racoon Patch in Rainbows and made a racoon mask to go along with it! He literally WOULD NOT take off his mask until he climbed into bed!
Ashtyn had a special night too! They actually had a small awards ceremony in the Ranger Kids classes tonight and Ashtyn earned TWO badges! He earned the Antelope Badge and the "Church Helper" badge! He was very excited that he got to go on the stage and just as excited that afterward he got cookies and lemonaide!
