This afternoon we took the boys down to the Bass Pro Shop to see Santa!! The Bass Pro Shop was the only place in town that I could find where you could have a picture taken with Santa for free! They not only took a picture for you and gave you a free copy but also let you bring your own cameras and take whatever pics you wanted! What a good deal! Other places were charging up to $30 bucks for a picture! Yikes! Anyway, our timing in going to see Santa may not have been the best. The boys both had christmas program practice today at the church so neither had a nap and were both very very tired. By the time we got to Santa Maddox was hesitant about sitting on Santa's lap and Ashtyn was having NOTHING to do with it. Brandon was able to hold Maddox close enough to Santa to have his picture taken but Ashtyn wouldn't even take a candy cane from Santa. As I tried to convince Ash to go closer and at least tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas Ashtyn said to me "I'll just write him a letter!" HA!! How can I argue with that! I was finally able to get a pic of Ash on part of Santa's set, though, and then we did some of the crafts and activities that the Bass Pro Shop had set up! Noni helped Maddox make a reindeer out of a candy cane and both Ash and Maddox shot a toy gun. Even though it didn't go quite as planned we still had a fun time!

I saw on the tv the information about Bass Pro having this Santa and craft event. What a great way to get people into the store! Just say the word "free".
What kind of gun did they shoot?
No kidding! The word "free" worked cause the store was PACKED!! It was the typical Bass Pro gun that just electronically shot at the targets (no real bullets) but it was made to look like a bb gun because they were selling the real thing right next to the place where you could shoot them for free!
