"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

turkey round two
After Thanksgiving at Barry and Glenda's house in Ponca City on Friday, our family and Casey and Rae's family traveled to Enid to celebrate Thanksgiving with Great Grandma! While Grandma finished some cooking Rae and I went shopping for some deals while the dad's played with the kids in the backyard!

Then it was finally time to eat! Even though Thanksgiving was amazing at both the Knight and Johnson households there's just something about having Thanksgiving dinner at your own Grandma's house! We had mashed potatoes, corn and homemade noodles which are a staple for a real homecooked Thanksgiving! Plus, there's just something about the way Grandma cooks EVERYTHING!! She does it the best!!
Then we all hit the sofa to rest! We were stuffed! Maddox and Elia still had awnry looks on their faces though...
then Grandma announced that she had Christmas presents for everyone! She shouldn't have, but Grandma was very sweet to think of all of us and, of course, the kids were VERY excited!!
