Tonight, when we were about to get the boys ready for church, I said to Brandon "We don't have to fix the boys hair tonight cause they'll need to wear their hats." I, of course, meant their winter hats and I meant they needed to wear them with their coats on our drive to church. Maddox, though, overheard what I had said and soon appeared in the living room with his Bass Pro Shop ball cap! Along with his cap he was also wearing a HUGE grin! It took me a moment to figure out why he looked "so proud" until it hit me that he had heard me say he "needed to wear his hat to church". Uh Oh!! I tried to explain to him that he couldn't wear his ball cap to church and that I meant his winter hat but he wasn't too happy. He stood against the wall in the hallway, arms crossed with his lip out for quite some time and, as you can tell, didn't really want his picture taken. I just couldn't resist the opportunity to document Maddox's pouting! Maybe he can wear his ball cap tomorrow when we're trapped in doors with all of these sub zero temps...

ah poor maddox. you should have let him wear his hat. uncle tyler would have been proud! ;)
Well...I considered it, but I know how Maddox is with his hat. He really does love his ball cap but after about half an hour he says it's "itchy" and then wants to take it off. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have made it home with it after church...HA!!
