All the kids got gifts that they were super excited about!! I think Ash was most excited to see his Beyblade set and his GameStop gift card (like father like son...) and Maddox was really really really excited to see his spinning Star Wars lightsaber. Ash gasped alot with each gift and Maddox just screamed over and over when he saw his new lightsaber!! It was alot of fun!!
After presents, a lazy Christmas day and even some black friday shopping, we loaded up to look at Christmas lights at the lake!! This is the kids (and Uncle Kevin's!) CHEESY smile!! I think Kevin enjoyed it as much as the kids!! Ha!!!!
And, of course, we always have to do a silly face picture too!
Ashtyn rode with Aunt Rae and Grampa!!
By the end of the night the boys were tuckered out. They're both so cute and sweet! Us grown-ups stayed up a bit longer to let live another Wiles Family Christmas tradition...watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!! We still crack up at this movie even after all these years!! It's so funny!! While we watched the movie we enjoyed egg nog and pepperoni bread. Great night!!!!
In true Wiles tradition, Grampa had to read the Christmas story to the kids before they could begin opening their presents!! It's fun to read the story but it's also torture because the kids can see all their gifts but have to sit still for the reading. My dad always did this to us girls when we were young and just like he did to us, when he reached the last page of the book, he began reading in slow-mo. Grampa!!! Sigh. The kids endured, though. Ash and Elia actually listened to the story for the most part but Maddox kept turning around saying "I don't wanna listen to this story..." and then just began posing for all the cameras that were going off. Oh Maddox...

when I saw the pic of me and ash in the car all I could think was "roll the window down"... "it IS down!" lol! Good times!!
I had such a great time. It was extremely hard to leave tho. Tears, tears, and more tears!
Thank you to Ashtyn, Maddox, and Elia for letting me play hide-n-seek, tag, the fishing game, stickers, paper chains, and with "Charlie".
Thank you to my beautiful daughters and their amazing husbands. Not only for a great weekend but for being the best family ANYONE could ever ask for.
oh the torture the torture haha
What a great family tradition that I will have to snag.
Nate enjoyed the story too but he was curious about the presents. I had to explain to him that sometimes people have to put in special request for Santa to come to their house early. tee hee hee
Auntie I know what you mean about having to leave. The time flies way too fast.
