"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

christmas lights the park
Monday night we got into the Christmas spirit by driving through the "Christmas Lights the Park" display and then watching a Christmas movie!! We piled into the van, Charlie included, and ooohed and aaahed over the beautiful lights!!
Unfortunately, Charlie had BAD gas...which made this light tour quite interesting...

Once we got home we snuggled up on the sofa, with popcorn of course, and watched "A Christmas Carol". We had never seen this movie (the new one narrated by Jim Carrey) and I have to admit it was a bit scary for little kids. The boys both fell asleep though so Brandon and I watched the whole thing and we really enjoyed it! It's a good movie!
It always seems like time passes so slowly waiting for the Christmas season to arrive and then once Thanksgiving gets here the month between it and Christmas fly by WAY too fast! I want time to slow down so we can enjoy the Christmas movies, lights, egg nog, gifts, cards, cookies, family and friends. Although, we are eager for Christmas morning to get here I also want to enjoy every Christmas moment as much as possible.

oh man! I wish we could drive through the lights up there! They are always so good! Drive thru and xtra time for us this season!! :)
hahahaha Charlie!
driving through lights is so much fun
The most kid-friendly Scrooge movie is the Muppets one made back in the early 90's. The new one you watched really is a bit too intense for younger viewers. Sorry I didn't warn you about that earlier.
