First things first, Maddox's teacher wanted to take a picture of the entire Pre-K class in their pirate garb!!

She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

Argh!! Hands off my treasure!!
Last Thursday, Maddox's class had "Treasure Hunter Day" and all the kids could dress up like pirates!! We dug through Maddox's dress up clothes and came up with a pretty cute little pirate outfit!!

Then all the little pirates went into the pirate cave where Mrs. Johnson read the class a pirate themed counting book...
Following our treasure map, we then went outside and everyone took turns getting inside the homemade pirate ship on the school lawn! It was pretty funny when Mrs. Johnson had to remind the boys that the ship wasn't real and so they needed to be careful! Ha!! Boys will be boys!!
Next up the treasure map led us back inside the school to the pirate obstacle course! The kids had to hop through hoola hoop circles on the floor, crawl under a table and walk the balance beam plank!
Mid-way through our hunt the kids were teased with a tiny treasure! They got to dig in the sandbox and each find a diamond! Ooooh! I wonder what the treasure at the end of the map will be??
Back outside, again, all of Maddox's class gathered around a parachute and used it to toss stuffed fish WAY up into the air! The kids LOVED this game! I think they would have stayed here all day and may have even forgot we were on a treasure hunt there for a minute...
After going back to the front of the school the kids all discovered a black treasure box in a tree!! Wow!! The boys especially were PUMPED!!!! Inside the box, was a note for the kids to find a seat under the awning to receive their special treasure...
