At the next stop the "bakery" turned out to be just a mom n' pop donut joint so Karianne ran in to get a dozen that we could try later. While she was inside Rae and I tried to take pictures of ourselves but had a hard time getting the camera in the right spot! Ha! We're so silly!!
After hitting a couple spots downtown, we drove to Edmond and went to Sara Sara Cupcakes! Oh my!!!! By the end of the day I think Sara Sara was the winner. Sure, there were other great cupcakes but all of Sara Sara's were awesome and not a single one was rejected. Man, I'm craving that strawberry cupcake right now!!
Our last stop before lunch was Cupcakes To Go Go, also in Edmond, where Rae found the cupcake love of her life! It was a chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting and after eating it IMMIDIATELY (before we even left the parking lot) Rae kept bringing up all day how good it was! Ha!! We would just be driving down the road and she would say for the hundredth time "Man, that was a good cupcake..." I think I know what someone will be getting for her birthday...
I chose the "I Love PBC" cupcake (I Love Peanut Butter Cups) and it literally tasted like an oversized, moist, peanut butter cup!! Mmmmm!!
We had lunch reservations at Inspirations Tea Room (which, of course, was awesome!) and then we made the rest of our cupcake crawl stops. The last place we visited was Pinkitzel downtown and it not only sold cupcakes but also candies and even boutique items like baby clothes, tea sets and cutesie little piggy banks, etc. It was the cutest of all the shops but, in the end, I think Sara Sara Cupcakes still had them beat overall.
Our cupcake crawl was beyond a success! Sure we ate WAY TOO MUCH SUGAR, stuffed ourselves silly and crashed mid afternoon but it was all worth it! I personally even woke up during the night after our crawl with a tummy ache and some "not so fun" trips to the bathroom but when it's all said and done I still say all of those yummy cupcakes were worth the pain! And it was definitely worth a girly day with my sisters!
