WAY TOO SOON Maddox will be turning 5! My Gramma has always told me that the older you get the faster time flies and boy was she right! (Not that I ever doubted her...) And on top of time flying when you're older I truly believe that time flies even faster when you have kids! One thing that hasn't changed no matter how quickly time has gone by is the fact that Maddox still begs and pleads to be held by mom when he falls asleep at night. We've tried a billion times (it feels like) to get Maddox to fall asleep and stay asleep in his own bed but, obviously, that's one battle we have not yet won! I have a confession to make, though. I'm glad that we haven't won! I love love LOVE rocking my little man to sleep at night and, in fact, it's one of my favorite times of the day! I know that soon enough the day will come where he will no longer want to sit in my lap to doze off into dreamland and so as long as he's asking I'll say yes! On Saturday, Maddox fell asleep in my lap on the living room sofa and when Brandon tried to move him to his bed I refused. I just scooted down onto the sofa and held my baby while he snoozed. We layed that way for over an hour! I even fell asleep myself! Seriously, my boys HAVE to stop growing...
