"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

long days fly by
Last Thursday, I took the boys to Turner Falls Youth Camp to visit Seth and Gray!! And I wanted to go and visit Jill and Robin, of course!! We left our house at about 8:30AM and didn't get home until almost 5:00PM that evening so it was a loooong (but fun!) day!! It was great to see little Grayson!! His eyebrows and eyelashes are completely grown back in now and his hair is growing too!! He looks so good!!
It has been SO HOT outside this summer that you have to play outside in short bursts and break it up by coming inside and playing too. So, while going outside to play tag or ride the golf carts the boys would also come inside and play video games with Seth!!
Surprisingly, we only had one injury the entire day at camp but no surprise at all was who was injured! Ha!! It was Maddox, of course!! While playing outside with the big boys he busted his lip. It really wasn't that bad of an injury and only bled a little bit. (He didn't even cry!) The camp nurse took a look at it and decided that the only treatment Maddox needed was a cold popsicle to eat!! Maddox wasn't complaining about that at all!!
The last thing we did before we left camp was play in Gray's little blow up pool! Yes, there is a creek at camp and in summers past the boys have played in there but this summer Gray isn't allowed in the creek and besides that we happened to visit on a Thursday this year and that happens to be the day that the youth campers are playing games in the creek so we didn't want to get in the way! So...the kiddie pool it was and that worked out just fine! All four boys jumped right in and it was pretty funny to watch actually!! I think Seth is literally as long as the swimming pool!!

We ended the afternoon by sitting outside to dry off while eating some ice cream from the concession stand!! Mmmmm!!
It's always fun to visit camp!! We miss the Everaard family so much while they are living at camp in the summer so we have to make at least one visit to play and catch up!! It makes for a long hot day but it's so much fun and so worth it!!
