"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

all about Maddox
A couple of weeks ago Maddox got to be the "star of the week" at school! He brought home this special poster and we had to fill it out and decorate it so that it could be hung in Maddox's classroom. He wrote that when he grows up he wants to be a football player, that his favorite thing to do is play his DS and that if he had one wish he would wish for one million video games...which he tried to draw on the poster! Ha! That's what all those little circles are all over the bottom! The sweetest thing about his poster, though, was when it asked him where is favorite place to go is. He wrote his friend "Seth's house" and then drew a picture of their house with himself, Seth, Ash and Gray standing outside. Gray passed away almost one year ago but he has not been forgotten. Not by a long shot. My boys think of him and ask about him often and when I saw that Maddox had drawn four people standing outside Seth's house and he told me one of them was Gray it made my heart skip a beat. They still love Gray so much and the true innocence of a child reminds me every day that it's okay to think of Gray, talk about him and make him a continued part of our lives. My boys have no idea how much they teach their mommy every single day.
