boys rule, girls drool

Over Spring Break, Seth spent the night at our house! This is the very first sleepover the boys have ever had and you cannot even begin to imagine how excited they were! They had been asking for WEEKS if Seth could spend the night and Spring Break seemed like the perfect opportunity. The boys played hard all afternoon and stayed up pretty late. The eventually all fell asleep watching a movie in the living room on the air mattress. When I woke up the next morning Seth was on the sofa and my boys were still on the mattress. Ash was the first to wake up while Maddox and Seth snoozed for quite awhile.

We had waffles and bacon for breakfast! Mmmmm! Seth didn't really like my syrup, though, so I ended up making him some scrambled eggs.

Throughout the morning and into the afternoon the boys played some kind of war/hunting game where they were marking their territories with signs and their bedroom was headquarters. As you can clearly see, I was not welcome inside...

These are the papers they used to mark every area of the house they "conquered". They were taped all over the house and all over the backyard too!

We had a great time having Seth spend the night. I know this is only the beginning of the wonderful world of sleepovers and I'm actually looking forward to it. However, I did tell Brandon that, since we have boys, sleepovers are going to be HIS territory! Ha! If we had girls sleepovers would consist of painting nails, sipping tea and watching movies...but boys sleepovers are much much different. These boys played HARD until they finally dropped...and that is ALL DADDY TERRITORY!!!! Good luck Brandon!!!!
