"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

let's get crafty
When my life is crazy, when there's not enough hours in the day and my mind is running a hundred miles an hour I can sometimes only find relief in a craft! I had no idea, that fated day, what craft I would do. I simply went to Hobby Lobby and began wandering until inspiration jumped off the shelf and I knew what I wanted to do. This trip I decided to gather a collection of letter "K's" and arrange them on my hallway wall. I found several letters that were already decorated and cute, ready to hang but I wanted a couple originals as well. I found this very cute cursive style "K" but the wood was unfinished. So, instead of not buying it I decided to decorate it myself. I again wandered the craft aisles until I saw these brightly colored buttons. AHA!! Light bulb moment!! I purchased my letters and my buttons and headed home with renewed energy, ready to craft the afternoon away. It was so refreshing to sit with my craft supplies and my glue gun and just be creative. I felt the stress of my week melting away. Plus, the end result of a newly decorated wall in my hallway made me smile as well! I love crafts! More people should craft!
