Our drive home from Orlando was bitter sweet. I think this is the first time in my life that after 13 days of being away from home I didn't want it to end! We had an absolute blast! The only part I was dreading was packing 7 people and our luggage back into an SUV and actually driving for two days. Not the most glamorous way to spend 20+ hours.
As much as I was sad to see our summer vacation come to end, when the landscape began to change and I saw my first glimpse of Oklahoma ground I got excited! There truly is no place like home!
As you can clearly see, the boys were excited to be home! They loved Orlando but there's something about getting back to the comforts of your own house and your own routine that is relaxing...no matter how tired you are. I could tell that more than anything the boys missed their rooms and their toys. They spent the rest of the day quietly playing together. Love.
Today, I think back on our Orlando vacation with nothing but smiles. We made so many life long memories and we will never have another vacation like this one with our young boys. It was a once in a lifetime trip. The drive, the money, the lack of sleep...it was all worth it!
