We are definitely in that time of year again where our free days are few and far between. With both Brandon and I working, the boys in school, Junior Bible Quiz, homework, school events, church, the holidays approaching, date night, play dates AND special for this year a very close friend's wedding and my youngest sister having her second baby, LIFE...IS...INSANE! Every moment we are running ourselves ragged so when those rare days off do happen we like to take full advantage. I have to admit (just in case Brandon is reading this...) that sometimes "taking advantage" of a day off means tackling the to-do list and catching up on projects around the house. Other times, though, and I'm trying to get better at making it more often, we like to just relax and enjoy family time. A couple of weeks ago we had a free day! Hallelujah! We slept in, watched some football and then, still in our pajamas, watched a movie together. It was relaxing, cozy and much needed. We won't get many more of these days until after Christmas so we have to make the most of the time we do have together. Plus, I'm documenting family time on this blog (obviously...) so when I'm feeling particularly frazzled I can always look back at these pictures and stories and remember that slower times are ahead.
