One evening as the boys were getting ready for bed I asked them to help me by putting away their own laundry. Ashtyn's reaction was headline making! Generally when I ask my boys to help with chores they follow through but Maddox groans while Ash gets right to work. There are very few surprises in their reactions. This time, though, Ash not only surprised me but he made me laugh hysterically! I stood in his doorway, waiting for a response after asking Ash to put his laundry away when he suddenly said "Do you want me to put away my laundry or do you want me to do THIS!?!?" That's when he did the most hysterical, impromptu dance I've ever seen! Especially from Ash! Of course I had to have Ash reenact the dance for my camera but it was just as impressive the second time around. 99% of the time Ash is predictable and very routine oriented but every now and then he lets his spontaneous side shine through. I love him so much.
