Santa came to our house two days early this year. The boys didn't know it yet but we had purchased tickets to fly to Grampa and Gramma's house in Connecticut on Christmas Eve and so on the 23rd we woke up to presents from Santa under our tree! Like always, the boys woke up WAY TOO EARLY bright eyed, bushy tailed and ready to open their gifts!
I think the favorites of the morning had to be the Wii U and the new Kindle Fire tablets the boys each received. Santa was good to us!
Daddy teasing the boys. Making them work for those presents!
After all the presents were unwrapped but before we started the daunting task of opening all that toy packaging and hooking up video games we gave the boys a series of clues to reveal to them that we would be waking up early the next morning, getting on a plane and flying to Connecticut! Maddox was immediately excited about our surprise trip but Ash didn't get excited until he got some of his pressing concerns settled. His first reaction was to tell us about his fears of flying followed by a series of questions and worries. Once we had calmed him down he seemed to get into the spirit and follow in little brother's footsteps of excitement! Grampa and Gramma, here we come!
We spent our entire Christmas Day putting together Lego sets, playing video games, downloading apps and PACKING for our trip! Oh and eating lots of yummy food too! Let the holidays begin!
