When it comes to all things winter...I'm your girl! I've always loved cold weather and I love everything that comes along with it just as much! Sweatpants! Coffee! A crackling fire! Gray days! Reading! Snow days out of school! Knit socks! Electric blankets! Coats! Scarves! Mittens! BRING! IT! ON! The winters in Oklahoma don't usually feed my cold weather addiction to satisfaction but this year it is giving it it's best shot! We have had several "snow storms" (my friends and family up north are cracking up right now...) and there are more snow days in the forecast! This year has brought something new to our generally mild Oklahoma winter. Our routine is to get snow one day and then see it all melt away the very next day (if not the same day) due to rising temperatures and blue, sun shiny skies. This winter, though, we have had sub zero temperatures! We've used this term before but we didn't truly know the meaning until this year! Today we woke up to several inches of snow on the ground and record breaking temperatures with wind chills making it feel like -12!!!! That's right!!!! -12!!!! Like I said, I'm a winter girl through and through but these temps have been downright painful! I'm still looking forward to all the snow days on the 7-day forecast but I wouldn't mind temperatures in the 20's maybe?? It's honestly going to feel like spring the first time we reach the freezing mark this year!
