deja vu

I didn't live in Oklahoma City yet when they had the ice storm in 2007 but I clearly remember the more widespread ice storm in 2000 that hit us in Ponca City! We had no power for almost a week and everything just stopped! Well, I don't know if that is going to happen this time but the beginings of this ice look eerily the same. The grass is beginning to freeze, along with the hanging baskets and icicles have formed on the house. They declared a "State of Emergency" for Oklahoma just at noon today and they just said on the weather that the power lines in South OKC are beginning to freeze and sag. I guess that means it's only a matter of time. Ugh. We can also hear the metal rotating vents on top of the house very loudly now. I guess they are probably covered in ice and still trying to rotate and so they are making really loud clanking sounds. Sorta scared me at first. My last load of laundry is the in the dryer though so hopefully we'll make it at least that long so I don't have frozen laundry! HA! It's almost naptime for the boys and then I may nap myself! See ya'll soon!
