snow cowboy

This morning we woke to perfect conditions to go out and play in the snow!! The 7 1/2 inches of untouched glistening snow were calling our names and the boys were so excited!! Plus, the sun was shining and gave just enough warmth to make it a nice, even though snowy, day.

The boys, and daddy, gathered some more icicles...I wonder what Maddox is gonna do with his!?!? I'm shakin' in my boots!!

Then the boys helped daddy out front with shoveling the snow. Well, actually, daddy shovled the driveway and sidewalk while Ashtyn shovled the yard/garden and Maddox shovled the car! The car shoveling didn't last too long cause Maddox got in trouble but it was worth a good laugh when we saw him do it for the first time!

Awhile later, from inside the house, I could hear Maddox sobbing at the top of his lungs! It was one of those sobs that actually started off real but then as he realized no one was paying attention it became half real half fake! I poked my head out the front door and asked Brandon what happened and he said that Maddox found a jumprope in the garage and wanted Brandon to lasso the bush! When Brandon tried to "fake lasso" the bush and just tie the jumprope around the limb Maddox wasn't satisfied and demanded that Brandon actually cowboy-style lasso the bush. Well, when Brandon told Maddox he couldn't do that Maddox began throwing a fit and sobbing loudly. After I took this short video of his fit Maddox stomped to the sidewalk and turned his back on us. He would turn around from time to time to see if we were looking at him but mostly just stood, arms crossed and back turned, pouting because no one could lasso the bush!
