storm envy

Last night we had our first round of Oklahoma weather move through! They told us all day that we would be getting rain in the evening and by the time the evening arrived there were full fledged thunder storms popping up across the state. Our first storm hit about 6:30PM, just before we left for church, and lasted about a half hour. We took some video of it just to make mom and Karianne jealous! Love you guys! HE HE! And then after church another storm moved through that was much much heavier and much louder too! The wind was strong and it even hailed a bit...just tiny pea sized hail, though. What's funny is that it's so cold outside that when Ash left for school this morning there was still some hail on the lawn! I have to admit that I love sprintime in Oklahoma! I really do love thunderstorms...however, Ashtyn does not. Last night, on the evening news they reminded us of tornado safety tips and told us what we all need to be doing to prepare for tornado season. Well, all Ashtyn heard was the word "tornado" and so when the storm hit last night that was the only thing on his brain. Poor guy. Hopefully I can teach him to love storms as much as I do...eventually...
