Brandon and I had a wonderful valentines date night Friday night where we got to eat at one of our favorite restaurants, PF Changs, and then saw a movie! It was just so nice to getaway! During our date, I kept giving Brandon a hard time and teasing him because he didn't give me a card. I had given Brandon a card and just thought that he would do the same. I, of course, was only joking with Brandon but I couldn't resist the urge to tease him! Well, little did I know that Brandon had a surprise up his sleeve. Saturday, I had work to do for an upcoming district event and so was out of the house pretty much all day. When I came home Saturday evening I walked through the door and Maddox said "Mama, close your eyes!" He then led me into the kitchen and when I opened my eyes there was not only a valentines card from Brandon sitting on the counter but there was also a TV attached to the underside of the upper cabinets! WHAT!?!?!?!? I've been saying for quite some time that I wanted a TV in the kitchen so that when I'm preparing meals I can have on HGTV or even cook while I watch Rachel Ray but just always thought it would be one of those dreams that would remain just that...a dream! Well, my dear sweet wonderful husband had heard my hints and listened to my requests and not only purchased me this wonderful gift but kept it a secret and hooked it all up while I was away! What a guy! Needless to say, I felt really bad for giving Brandon such a hard time over not getting me a card...HA!! Oh! And I forgot to mention that my TV also has a DVD player and radio! WOW!!!

my valentines
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to you all!!! Earlier in the week the boys and I sat down and talked about what Valentine's Day means and who we love! Then the boys colored "I Love You" bookmarks and put together crazy heart characters to send to their aunts, uncles and grandparents! (Hope everyone received their lovely valentines!) In true form, Ashtyn colored his valentines with great precision while Maddox scribbled a bit here and a bit there but when all was said and done each of the boys' valentines represented both of their personalities!
