OK...so when I had boys I knew that along with that would come our fair share of injuries and bo-bo's and then after each of the boys had stitches last year it proved to me that we were in for it. And the injuries continue! Last night, we decided to eat dinner on the new deck! The sun was shining and there wasn't too much wind! Perfect! The boys quickly finished their dinner and then ran off to play on the swingset while Brandon and I ate. We watched the boys race in circles around the yard, play pretend and practice swinging themselves (they've been trying to learn this skill)!! We were just about to take the boys back inside to get them ready for church when Maddox decided to do a "trick" on the swing. He backed waaaay up from the swingset and ran at the swing full force and then landed in the swing on his belly swinging superman-style!! Both the boys have done this trick many times but it always scares me because they swing forward with such force that when the swing comes back the other direction they are going so high that they nearly fall out of the swing face first. Well can you guess what happened when Ash attempted the trick after Maddox completed it?? Yep! He swung forward on his belly and then when the swing swung back, sure enough, he couldn't stay in the swing and fell straight to the ground. He immidiately jumped up sobbing and screamed "Am I OK? Am I OK?" (He's always terrified everytime he hits his head that he's going to need stitches...) Besides alot of dirt on his face, and some in his mouth, and a few scrapes around his eye, Ashtyn was fine. We cleaned him up and went to church where he did fine except that after Royal Rangers he complained that everyone in his class kept asking him what happened and he had to answer the question "too many times". His little injury looks quite a bit better this morning but unfortunately I told him he's going to have to re-tell his story a ton of times at school today too! I think he was up for the challenge!

Erika, Sorry that I didn't know about this "incident" when you sent the pic of Ashtyn before his Saturday game. I haven't been on the computer for MANY days, which is unusual for me, and I missed this event's story.
Ashtyn, Your shiner is cool looking! You look sooooo tough!
