Wow! I can't believe it's already Easter weekend! Time flies! Today, the boys colored easter eggs. Luckily, it was nice enough to do it outside! First, we colored on the eggs with crayons...

Brandon "sunned" himself on the patio. Hmm...imagine that. (HA!!)

Ashtyn was quite proud that he wrote "Happy Easter" on one of his easter eggs! I told him what letters to write and he wrote them...he only asked for a couple hints!

Then it was time to color the eggs. Maddox got done coloring with crayons way before Ash so he dyed his eggs first!

Good job Maddox!!

Ash was proud of his eggs but he couldn't smile too well cause the sun was in his eyes!

After the eggs were all dry the boys decorated them with stickers!!

The eggs turned out really cute! Surprisingly we had NO broken eggs this year! Not even a crack! A much different story then a couple of years ago! Now the eggs are tucked safely in the fridge waiting for the easter bunny to visit us overnight and hide them!

Okay, so I told you all a couple of days ago that I tried my best to explain to the boys the true meaning of Easter and why we celebrate it. Well, today I attempted to talk about that again and see if they remember, in the midst of coloring eggs, what Jesus did for us on Easter. Let's just say that they were a bit TOO into their eggs and a bit TOO distracted to really have any care about mommy's lessons. Ash even said that on Easter Jesus "made the bunny"!! Too cute!! Hopefully, at least, some of my Easter lesson stuck somewhere in their brains...
