HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!! Every year on Father's Day our church has DadFest!!!! It's a fun outdoor festival, of sorts, celebrating everything DAD!!!! This year, though, they took the dad theme a bit further and even turned Pastor McNabb's podium into a more manly version of itself!! HA!! They took the front end of a motorcycle and converted it to a podium!! HA!! Too cool!!

Then, after service, it was outside to enjoy as much of DadFest as we could before we melted in the heat!! This year they had a mechanical bull, a live bluegrass band, a bass fishing demonstration, motorcycle show, snowcones and were also serving hot dogs, hamburgers and a whole roasted pig! This is the fishing demonstration! It's a GIANT tank filled with bass and a man would sit in a faux boat connected to the end of it and teach you about fishing techniques! It was pretty cool!

OK...let's just say that our kids put on quite a show of their own during the live bluegrass music!! They really got into the music and busted a few sweet moves!! I think everyone around us got a good laugh!! Ashtyn said "Mom, I can ALWAYS feel the music!" It was awesome!!

I was surprised that both Ashtyn and Maddox wanted to try their hand at the mechanical bull!! The operator, of course, went really easy on Maddox and just made the bull move back and forth a bit...but for Ash he didn't go quite as slow! Ash eventually got bucked off but he was brave and they both had tons of fun!!

DadFest was awesome but we're having our own version of DadFest here at home, which consists of the boys taking a nap while Brandon plays the XBox and now that the boys are awake they are all in the pool!! What a great daddy Brandon is!! Both our boys are very lucky!! Happy Fathers Day Brandon!! We love you!!
