just my luck

Ho Hum. We were supposed to be in Ponca City this weekend helping Casey and Rae move into their new home and we made it for awhile. We went to Ponca Friday afternoon and helped Casey and Rae all evening and then most of Saturday get moved and partially settled into their new house but throughout both days Brandon was beginning to not feel so well. By Saturday evening he was miserable and so we decided to cut our trip short and head home. Also, during the day on Saturday Maddox started coughing and it was sounding worse and worse. Everyone slept all night Saturday night and, as you can see, Maddox and Brandon slept quite late Sunday morning...both not feeling well. When Maddox woke up he had a fever and was still coughing. I have kept him on Tylenol Cold all day and that seems to help but he's still moody and mopey and overall pretty cranky. Brandon went to the doctor this morning and he has an infection. He's on an antibiotic and as I type this he has been "napping" for over 4 hours. Keeping up with one sick husband and one sick kid is no simple task. Ugh. It's tiring, but what can ya do!? Such is the life of a mom and wife! I'm ready for everyone to get well, though. The boys are supposed to be heading to Noni and Papa's house this Wednesday for a three day visit all by themselves!! During which Brandon was taking some time off work so he and I could have a bit of a couples vacation!! Let's just hope I don't catch whatever this is...
