"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

where the sleepy things are
This week, Maddox had zoo camp!! They offer a camp each week of the summer split up by age group and interest!! Last week, Ashtyn went to a camp for his age group called Awesome Animal Art! He learned all about different animals and did a ton of art projects. This week was Maddox's turn. His camp is called Where the Wild Things Are and his class digs in the dirt, makes mud pies and plays HARD!! Maddox was a bit nervous to go to camp. He's a bit of a home body and doesn't like to be away from mom and dad but I told him he'd have fun. When Brandon dropped him off the first day he cried a bit but eventually stayed with his teacher!
When Ashtyn and I picked him up a few hours later Maddox had had a BLAST!!! They made Where the Wild Things Are hats and Maddox was actually pumped to go back the next day!!!
Maddox had so much fun, in fact, on his first day that he was out cold before we even got home!!
