perfect pair

Wow! What a weekend! Thursday afternoon we traveled to Ponca City for Uncle Tyler's wedding! The boys already considered his finace, April, to be Auntie April so this whole wedding process seemed sorta weird to them but we were all very excited! Uncle Nathan and Aunt Dana flew in to Oklahoma City Wednesday night and rode with us to Ponca. Ashtyn and Maddox were both asked to be ring bearers in the wedding and so we had to get to PC in time for the rehearsal Thursday night. The rehearsal went really well and the rehearsal dinner was both delicious and beautiful! It was great to meet more of April's family and friends and exciting that the wedding was so close!

On Friday, the BIG day, I made sure the boys had a good nap! They were both already exhausted from the rehearsal the night before and swimming in the hotel pool so getting them to sleep wasn't a problem at all! After a couple hours of resting they were full of energy and ready to get dressed!
Daddy helped them into their tuxes...

and, in true Knight boy fashion, they both had a little secret hidden beneath their pant leg...Star Wars socks! HA!! Maddox had asked days before if he could wear orange socks so that they would match his tie (uh-oh...) and so instead I allowed them to wear black Star Wars themed socks! They were proud and no one ever had to know!

Soon, the whole family was ready to go! The boys had to be at the wedding site a few hours early for pictures. I have to admit I was a bit nervous at how the boys would behave having to be outside and standing still with smiles on from 4:15PM to 6:30PM, when the wedding was scheduled to begin...but in the end the boys did really well. April's mom was nice enough to let us come inside her home and she turned on cartoons for the boys! The wait wasn't so bad afterall...

Just before pictures the boys had their boutineers pinned on...

I can't wait to see the pictures the professional photographer took! I'm sure they'll be beautiful! The wedding ceremony and reception were both held at April's parents house just outside Ponca City! The location couldn't have been more perfect or more "Tyler and April"!!!

Ashtyn trying to see April walking down the aisle...cute!

The boys stood with the groomsmen for a few minutes but then came and sat with Noni...

I now pronounce you...

Mr. & Mrs. Tyler Knight!!

Noni had bribed the boys with a surprise if they walked down the aisle at the wedding...that surprise was new nerf guns! Needless to say, they were excited! (And I threatened them within an inch of their lives not to shoot any of the wedding guests! HA!!)

I didn't get so many pictures at the reception...we'll have to wait for the professional photog for those, but I did get a short video of Maddox dancing to the music! HA!! He had a small audience watching and I think it only made him more eager to perform!!

As you can see, the wedding was beautiful!! Even more exciting then the ceremony and reception, though, was the fact that the Knight family is now complete!! Congrats Tyler and April!! We're so happy for you!!
