fevers and deep thought

Recently, when Ashtyn was sick and had been running a fever I religiously took his temperature every few hours and gave him Tylenol when he needed it. Each time I would take his temp Ash would ask what the temperature was. He is a very "worried" child and needs to know as much information as possible about everything! (I wonder where he got that from...) Anyway, after two or three days of discussing his temperature every few hours Ashtyn was becoming quite the expert on all things fever! On Monday morning, after we dropped Maddox off at school and were heading back home Ashtyn was sitting very quietly in the back seat. I could tell he was thinking about something and eventually Ash spoke up. With a confused look on his face he said "Mom...so if I have a beaver then is there a beaver inside me?" HA!!! Of course, he meant to say "fever" but apparently the entire weekend he thought I was telling him he had a BEAVER somewhere inside him!! I felt sort of bad thinking back on the fact that Ash was probably worrying and wondering ALL WEEKEND about how a beaver got inside him. I was glad we got that all cleared up!!
