"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

Last night we took the boys to Lake Arcadia for Storybook Forest!! We attended this halloween event last year and had so much fun that we just had to do it again. At Storybook Forest, you walk along a trail through the trees and are greeted by different storybook and nursery rhyme characters who give you candy!! Fun!! This year, the boys went dressed as Obi Wan Kenobi and Spider Monkey...I dare you to guess who is who!! That's right, Maddox is Obi Wan and Ash is Spider Monkey! No surprise there!

After the trick-or-treat tour, you can purchase raw hot dogs, s'more kits and hot chocolate and then gather round an open fire to cook your own dinner and enjoy a family camp out!! It's so much fun!!

We still have a fun Halloween weekend ahead of us!! Friday we are carving pumpkins and Sunday we are attending trunk-or-treat at our church. We will probably also let the boys trick-or-treat in our neighborhood and we are planning a game night at our friends Doug & Jill's house!! It's a jam packed weekend but it'll be so much fun!!
