new room ahoy!!

We recently made a big decision in the Knight household. It's a decision made not only for those who make overnight visits to our home but also a decision made for mommy's sanity!!!! What is it?? That's right, we turned the boys' playroom into a guest room/office/den!! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! I hear angels singing just talking about it and I've been living in it for almost a full week! HA!!!! First up we went through the boys toys. As the boys get older their toys get smaller. They really don't touch the big stuff anymore and pretty much just play with tiny action figures and board games, so it seemed like a good time to reorganize and "purge" all the extra stuff that no one plays with anymore! So out with the old and in with the new! We bought a new storage system with shelves and baskets and put it in the boys' bedroom to hold all their toys and then the fun part...transforming an empty room into something we will actually use!! DRUMROLL PLEASE...

Ta Da!!!!!!!!!!! We found this small sofa with a pull out bed inside for guests (so no more blow up mattress everyone!) and we also got a wicker coffee table that opens up for extra storage! We moved all the video games into the new room and set up the closet for guests! I have to admit...I'm IN LOVE with this room!!!! And we've already used it way more then we had used the playroom in the last few months. This was the best decision we've made in a long time!

Now we're ready for guests! Noni is coming tomorrow to stay for a couple nights so she'll be breaking in the new bed and taking the guest room on its maiden voyage! I'm excited!
