"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

baby it's cold outside
This week winter came to visit us!! Sure, it probably won't stay for very long and, in fact, I think over the weekend it might reach 70 degrees again (blah!) but for a couple of days, at least, it's cold outside! I love winter! I know most people probably think that's crazy but I truly do! I love snow days, coats, scarves, hot coffee, winter holidays, sweaters, sweat pants, warm blankets, dark evenings...I could go on and on! Another perk of cold weather is bundling up my boys each morning for school. They are SO very cute! Ashtyn isn't happy with the gloves I bought him this year (they're mittens...). I thought they were very cute, and they are that cute, but he doesn't like them...so looks like we'll be making a trip to Target for new winter gloves BUT my bundled up babies still looked so very sweet in their winter gear! Here's to many more cold mornings! It's heavenly!
