"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

contagious
Just a few days after Maddox was home bound with the flu, Ashtyn came down with the very same thing. :( Wednesday, after school, I knew Ashtyn didn't seem like himself. He was very whiny, he would cry at the drop of a hat and he just had that flushed look that says "it's coming..." So, I kept him home from Royal Rangers thinking he would be sick at any moment...but nothing ever happened. Then super early Thursday morning, Maddox came running into our bedroom yelling "Ash is throwing up! Ash is throwing up!" The sun wasn't even up yet, but our entire household was...and poor Ash was very sick. :( Ash stayed home from school Thursday and Friday. He played video games when he was feeling up to it (but, as you can see, even then he felt and looked pretty miserable...) and we spent most of the day cuddling, napping and watching cartoons or movies. It was very sad. On Friday, Ash felt a little better but still wasn't well enough to go to school so he spent another day resting while I disinfected EVERYTHING in our house. If it couldn't be washed in the washing machine it got a good dose of lysol!! So far, fingers crossed, neither Brandon or I have gotten this horrible sickness and at this point I really hope we don't. We're only a week from Christmas and have WAY too much to do!! Good riddens flu...please don't visit us EVER again!!
