"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

domestic bliss
I love having a home cooked Sunday lunch with my family around the table after church...but I almost love just as much to stay sitting at the table once we're done eating and watch the men in my life rinse all the dishes and load the dishwasher!! Luckily, both my boys are at the age where helping with chores is SO fun and they jump at the chance to help out so that part isn't a fight (it's actually harder to get Brandon to do it...ha!) but there's something so domestic about cooking lunch and then watching my kids clean it up. I guess it reminds me of my OWN childhood!! Ha!!
