last minute luck

The week after Christmas my parents decided to come for a last minute visit. We didn't think they were going to get to come but they decided to make the trip and we were glad they did! Thankfully, during their visit, the weather was very nice and so we were able to do some extra fun things. One day, Rae and Casey and Elia came down and we went to the zoo!

Maddox is always energetic, but during our visit to the zoo he was particularly hyper!! He kept begging to have his picture taken and jumping up on rocks and doing all sorts of crazy poses and fighter moves!! Ha!!

The boys always love to visit the petting zoo but Ashtyn doesn't usually actually PET the animals. He likes to keep his distance and just observe from afar but today he jumped right in! He didn't seem scared at all!

We not only love doing the "fun stuff" with Grampa Mike and Gramma Pennie but we also love the down time we get to spend with them. The boys love to be read to and who better then your Gramma to read you a story!?

My parents visit was too short but it was alot of fun!! We got to visit Great Gramma in Enid and the boys got to play with their cousin for an extra week!! We don't get to see Grampa Mike and Gramma Pennie but a few times each year but luckily they're coming to Oklahoma AGAIN when Aunt Rae has her baby in February so we get to see them again very soon!! I was teasing my mom before they left that the boys aren't gonna know what to do when they see their Grampa and Gramma twice in just a few short months!! Ha!! Thanks for visiting mom and dad!! It was a blast!!
