FROM "JUST LAUGH"

This weekend, I was in Oklahoma City helping the district with a statewide youth event and Brandon was at home with the boys. Ash and Maddox are always kind of excited when mommy is going to be gone for the day and they get to play with JUST daddy! I think they get away with more when mom isn't home...ha!! This weekend, the boys had tons of fun! They played cards, board games, video games (of course...), watched cartoons and movies and even played outside. Towards the end of one of my work days, Brandon texted me that something so beyond hilarious had happened that I was actually very sad I had missed it! Apparently, the boys and Brandon were playing hide and seek in the backyard. During one round of play, Maddox had obviously found a really good hiding spot because Brandon and Ashtyn couldn't find him anywhere! They were searching and searching and couldn't find, or even hear, Maddox anywhere in the yard. Finally, after what felt like many minutes looking for him (and our yard isn't that big...) they spotted Maddox squeezed behind the shed in a corner of the yard. Now, our shed is set up pretty close to the back fence and not just anyone can squeeze in there. Even Maddox had to nudge himself in, walking sideways, until he was out of view from the "seekers" in their afternoon game! Brandon said that once they spotted Maddox he began cracking up hysterically and was trying to tell them something through his heaves of hysteria and laughter! It took a minute for them to really get what Maddox was saying...in fact, it wasn't until Maddox got out from behind the shed and walked a few steps into the backyard that Brandon began to get the picture. Maddox walked into full view of both Brandon and Ashtyn, spread his arms and legs out wide on either side of his body, and yelled out with giggles between each word "I...PEED...MY...PANTS...!!!!!!!!!" What!?!? Hahahahahaha!!!! That's right, Maddox went on to explain that he had found such a good hiding spot and knew he was the last one to be found and so didn't want to give away where he was hiding just because he needed to go to the bathroom, so instead made the conscious decision to just let it go and wet his pants!! He didn't bother to pull down his shorts (even though he was outside...) because that may have made too much noise and drew attention to himself, so instead, in a competitive effort to win the game Maddox peed all over his shorts, shirt, legs and everywhere else you can possibly imagine! Sick! I certainly don't understand boys but I do understand the competitive spirit and I think it's safe to say that Maddox was born with a level of competitiveness that few can match...or may even want to...!!!!
