preppin' for a party

As always, the boys had to make Valentine's cards for each of the kids in their class for their Valentine's Day parties at school. It's always fun to let the boys pick out their own Valentine card designs and now that they both know how to write their names it's so much fun to fill out each of the cards too. This year, Ash chose "Angry Birds" valentine cards and Maddox chose "Star Wars" themed cards.

After the boys filled out a Valentine for each of their classmates, we did a little craft for the boys to give to their teachers wishing them a Happy Valentine's Day!! I found this really cute idea on the internet of a sweet teacher's gift where you trace your child's hand print, cut it out, write a special message on the paper hand and then tape the hands on either side of a small tube of hand lotion. I knew the teachers would get endless amounts of chocolate and probably even some flowers so I thought lotion would be a different and practical idea!! Plus, who can't use a travel sized bottle of hand lotion!? 

The boys were finally ready for Valentine's Day and they were even more ready for their class parties!!
