My Boys. My Life.: community hunt

The Saturday before Easter we had a fun day!! First, that morning, we had our church's Easter Egg Hunt at the park. Our church hosted four concurrent Easter Egg hunts at four different city parks across Mustang and invited the whole community to attend. It was an awesome idea and turned out really well! The boys were excited to hunt eggs and I was excited to watch them!

Maddox was in the 4-5 age group and was ready to go with his bucket! Ash was in the 6+ age group and daddy went with him. With a true competitive spirit, Maddox ran for the back of the park when the host yelled "Go!" so that he could scoop up as many eggs as possible!

I would say he did well!!

Ash was ready to go too! He was able to get quite a few eggs but I think because his age group was so much larger then Maddox's there just weren't as many eggs to go around...but he was proud of himself and we were proud of him too! (Oh! And just so you know...I didn't purposefully put up more pics of Maddox hunting eggs then Ash. I just took a TON of pics of Maddox and since Brandon was with Ash he only took TWO...so these are the TWO that we have...)

That afternoon, after opening each and every single one of our egg hunt eggs, we colored some Easter eggs of our own. I must say that this is the FIRST year since having children that we have successfully colored eggs without breaking a single one!! Woohoo!! The only egg casualty we had was the one I ate!! Ha!!
