For a couple of days over spring break, the boys had to go to work with mommy and daddy. In order to insure that Brandon and I would actually get anything done while we were at work we split the boys up and took one of them with us at a time. I got Maddox on the first day and then Ash on the second day. Ash was, of course, very polite and sat at my desk and colored. He likes to have more conversational talk then Maddox and so asked alot of questions and wanted to tell alot of stories but for the most part sat very still. Maddox on the other hand got very bored and I guess in his boredom the only thing he could think to do was roll around on the floor. It looks like he's throwing a fit here but he's not. He's simply laying on the floor, rolling around and talking/singing to himself!! Ha!!
Maddox stayed pretty bored until lunchtime! My boss took me and his assistant, Chelsea, out to lunch at Iguana Grill and not only was it fun but the food was SO good!! Maddox isn't a picky eater at all so he tried just about everything that came to the table!! He loved the fresh salsa so much that by the end of the meal he had chopped pieces of parsley stuck all over his face...and I do mean ALL OVER!!!!
Brandon and I tried to make "going to work with mom and dad" seem like an exciting thing by enticing them with lunch out and snacks from the break room but they saw right through it. Overall I think they won't be wanting to go back to work with either of us any time soon but at the end of the week we asked the boys who's work was more exciting...mom or dad's? and both boys agreed with a resounding, DAD'S!!!! Sad. I couldn't compete though considering at Brandon's work the associate pastor let the boys shoot a bb gun IN THE OFFICE at a target down the hallway...what little boy is going to choose a free granola bar out of mommy's break room over that!?!?!? Oh well...
