"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

Little Radicals Day #3
My boys spent their last day at Little Radicals Camp eating breakfast and having a a final service before heading home. They stopped at McDonald's for some lunch and playtime before finally arriving back at the church right at 2PM!! I was SO excited!! I got to the church about 5 minutes before the church vans pulled up and was standing outside of my van before the vans even stopped!! I couldn't wait to see my family!! Maddox was the first out of the van and, let me tell you, NOTHING warms a mama's heart like seeing her six-year-old literally RUN towards her and hugging her with all of his strength!! That's exactly what Maddox did!! My heart was bursting!! Ashtyn came off the van next and while he may not have sprinted full speed toward me he did make a bee-line and gave me a huge smile and huge hug!! He may not be as demonstrative or flashy as his little brother but I could tell he was happy to be home. We loaded all of their luggage up, started talking immediately about all of their favorite parts of camp and headed home. While they continued to talk and tell me all of the memories they made during their three days away the boys discovered a little goody I had left out for them under a "Welcome Home" sign written for the boys on the kitchen chalk board. Maddox got a Lord of the Rings lego set and Ashtyn got a Tag Reader Sentence Builder!! Perfect!! I can't even put into words how happy I am to have my family back home!! My world feels whole again and I'm beyond proud of my boys for doing so well and having so much fun their first year at camp!!
