Almost two weeks ago, we loaded up and began driving to Colorado. We were going to Colorado to attend our new baby nieces christening but we were also going a couple days early to visit family and do some sight seeing! Exciting! After driving to and from Connecticut earlier this summer, the 11-hour drive to Colorado felt like it would be pretty easy but it was still long and the boys still got bored toward the end. With only an hour or two left I caught the boys fighting each other with their flip flops in the backseat. When I asked them what they were doing they told me they were pretending their shoes are lightsabers and were having a battle! Ha! I guess sometimes nothing is better for the imagination then endless hours in the tiny backseat of a Prius!
Once we finally arrived in Colorado we didn't waste anytime getting into vacation mode and immediately took the boys to the hotel pool! Fun! For some reason a hotel pool is always better then your pool at home...no matter your age!
Sure we are tired from yet another long drive this summer but that doesn't outweigh how excited we are to cram as much fun into our extended weekend stay in Colorado as humanly possible! Let's get this Colorado trip started!
