RAIN-tastic

This past weekend we finally...FINALLY...got some rain!! For yet another year in a row we are in an extreme drought here in Oklahoma. It's pretty depressing. I know most people don't like the cloudy, rainy weather. They say THAT depresses them...but the lack of rain is becoming very sad around here. On Saturday morning, when I looked out the front window and saw these dark clouds looming in the distance I got just a teeny bit too excited! Ha! I texted my mom, my sisters and Brandon to show them this pic and tell them it looked like we would finally get some rain. With the dark clouds so close I think I may have actually cried if the rain hadn't come...but it did!!!!

Once the rain started pouring down, I made the boys come out from playing video games and look. Unfortunately, I don't think they were quite as excited as I was! Ha! They were just like "cool mom!" more to pacify me then anything, I think. Oh well. I just couldn't contain my excitement!

Thankfully, the rain brought cooler temps to Oklahoma as well. It gave us a taste of fall and made me excited! I can't wait for cooler weather and hopefully even more rain!
