As a part of my fall cleaning, I tackled one of my "larger" to-do items that has been on my list for a couple of years now...updating the bathroom vanity!!!! The current bath vanity isn't bad at all. It's a simple, small, light colored wood and overall very unassuming. It doesn't stand out or blend in really. It's just there. I've had a vision of painting or white-washing the vanity for quite some time and last week I finally got the urge and couldn't resist. I forgot to take true "before" pics. By the time I took these I had already taken off the cabinet door, taken out the drawers and removed the hardware...but you get the idea.

After a morning of painting and drying...and fighting the cabinet door back onto the vanity...I finally had a NEW bath vanity to love! And I really do LOVE it!

The almost transparent white-washed paint style with black hardware lets the vanity stand out from the dark wall and makes the whole bathroom that much more shabby chic! Which I love!

How can something as simple as a freshly painted vanity make walking into your bathroom exciting all over again?? I'm not sure but it really does!
