"Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth." Hugh Macmillan

cool greens
My coworker, Chelsea, and I have a lot in common but we're also very different in a lot of ways. One thing I'm trying to learn from Chelsea is how to be more spontaneous and allow myself to veer from my rigid daily (and comfortable) routine long enough to try new things. Recently, Doug was taking us both to lunch and as we were reciting the usual list of restaurants that we choose from Chelsea suggested we go to a place called "Cool Greens". Doug was more then skeptical and I was up for it but still kind of nervous. It sounded a bit too...leafy for this steak and carbs lover! Chelsea was persistent, though, and we all agreed it would be a fun change of pace. Well, let me tell ya, Cool Greens is AWESOME!! They serve very fresh food and you can basically customize anything the way YOU want it. They have wraps, salads and flat bread pizzas among other things. It was delicious! Now, I'm not gonna lie and say that that night for dinner I didn't have a cheeseburger and fries from Freddy's but that didn't make my lunch at Cool Greens any worse. I'll definitely be going back! Thank you Chelsea for expanding my horizons and helping this routine driven girl break out of her shell!
